TÜBİTAK BİLGEM YTE shared Product Tracking System Experience at GS1 Health Conference

The 34th Global GS1 Healthcare Conference that organized by GS1, was held in Bangkok, Thailand on 30 October - 1 November 2018.

In the conference, the current research and development studies related to the UDI (Unique Device Identification) System, which allows the monitoring of medical devices at a single level and the situation of countries in this area. The R & D studies related to singularization of medical device products and product traceability among all stakeholders from producer to the patient and the application samples of GS1 barcodes and standards to improve the logistics quality and patient safety are given during the sessions at the conference.

Experiences and achievements in the Product Tracking System that make Turkey a world leader by means of the tracking of medical device system and the tracking of medicine system, and also the first tracking system in the world in terms of many features and is at a higher level than other recording / tracking systems were conveyed to the participants with a presentation that titled” Implementation and dissemination of medical device traceability in Turkey”.
